Maa-nulth Treaty Vote Next Week

The First Nations of the Maa-nulth Treaty Group are voting next week on their treaty with BC and Canada. The First Nations involved are the Toquaht, Uchucklesaht, Ucluelet, Huu-ay-aht, and Ka:’yu:’k't’h'/Che:k:tles7et’h'; all from the west coast of Vancouver Island. The Huu-ay-aht endorsed the treaty during voting in July. Results from the other four communities will be announced October 21, 2007.
